Hello, fellow writers!
Longtime friend-of-the-show J. Daniel Sawyer has written a new nonfiction book, Secrets of the Heinlein Juvenile. In it he digs into the works of Robert A. Heinlein, the granddaddy of YA science fiction, and reveals the hidden structure that turns these books into evergreen classics. Right now he’s running a Kickstarter to fund the production of the book, and he’s released this audio version of chapter 1 to give you a taste of what awaits within its pages. Check it out, and if this sounds like something you could use in your writing journey, I urge you to support the project.
Keep it on the bright side,
Chris

This week I interview author and podcaster
It’s time for another interview! This time I sat down with J. Daniel Sawyer to discuss his new book, The Every Day Novelist: Business 101. We discussed how being a writer is different from being in other kinds of business, how the publishing industry has changed in recent years, and the fundamental question of copyright and its place in our culture. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
